Competition results for our sixth and last round of competition for 2024 - "Negative Space" and Open. Our judge for this competition was Mark Bloothoofd.

For the purposes of this competition the set subject of "Negative Space" was defined as:
Negative space is a key concept in photography that involves the use of empty or open space around the subject of an image. Negative space is not just about what is absent in a photo; it's about using that absence to enhance the overall composition and storytelling of the image.

* Neil let us in on his secret on this image, it was actually captured using a scanner. The parts placed on the scanning bed and black card placed over them to cut out ambient light, then scanned. Quite an innovating approach.
